That would be great. I would rather control the LPARs the old way, with a 
primary partition. I foresee nothing but problems making everything dependent 
on this Linux box. Why would I want one MORE computer system to worry about and 
maintain?

Actually, didn't they recently release new functionality to manage 
partitions via PTFs?
