RE: Remove or disable DOMINO Server

If it truly has been in storage and not in use, then I'd think it would be 
pretty safe to blast Domino as per my earlier instructions, (including the 
backup's).  Keep a note somewhere that you may be entitled to a Domino 
server license.  This may be an important issue sometime to your shop.

If you had all the install media, and all the keys, then you might want to

Without the keys, you only have 70 days until it hurls.  So, if you don't 
have the keys, or a good relationship with their old BP to get a new set 
of keys, then I wouldn't use the draconian steps in the url, but I'd be 
more selective in my deletions.  By the way, what kind of machine was this 
again?  Certain 270's might have a yellow band on them.  Translated this 
means that this was a "Dedicated Server for Domino" and IBM put govenors 
in this so that you wouldn't run certain kinds of interactive, and even 
some batch, workloads on them.  Certain versions of microcode were 
released to enhance some web type of batch workloads.  These black 
machines with the yellow band were nicknamed bumblebee's.
