Joe, It's not just starting to get ugly, it has been for some time. <my-disclaimer> Both Midrange Computing and iSeries NEWS have sold my products for many years. We got hit in a big way when Midrange Computing declared bankruptcy in 2001. I was actually on the road doing a system administration seminar for them when I learned I would not get paid. </my-disclaimer> As the Midrange Computing experience showed, it's hard to run a magazine when the number of people willing to pay for it numbers only 15,000 or so. While my friends at iSeries NEWS may credit their superior management skills, one reason they have survived is their early creation of a Windows NT magazine. I would not be surprised to learn that Microsoft approached them as 1) one of the few remaining iSeries publications and 2) one of the few remaining iSeries seminar sponsors. But then, I've been wrong before... Bill William A. Hansen Manta Technologies Inc. Toll-free: (800) 406-2682 Direct: (847) 382-7189
