Did I miss something here? Everyone is talking about accessing the AS/400 IFS but no one mentions Netserver. Netserver makes the AS/400 look like an a Windows drive and has Windows like security. The whole purpose of Netserver is to exactly what you are looking to do. Once you start Netserver(Operations Navigator, Networks, Server, TCPIP, ISeries Netserver). You need to give it a different network name than the AS/400 it is running on, you need to create shares just like in Windows. You just say what IFS folders will be seen on the outside and what security. Netserver has none of the security issues that PC Support has. That's about it. From the outside, the AS/400 just looks like a Windows drive. Users will never know the difference. One of the best things on the AS/400. I love Netserver. Good performance, too. If someone mentioned this, my apologies. I didn't see it.
