I have an open issue with the TSM people. Evidently there are some issues with: checkin checkout backup db commands, as executed by TSM, under V5R3 of OS/400. TSM claims that IBM changed the way they call the API's in V5R3 and now the query actlog shows errors regarding the chgtapctg or dsptapctg api's. They have an APAR opened up on it. Some workarounds are suggested. Like: - using remove=yes on the checkout command - using search=no on the checkin command. - really getting all your ducks in a row with the OS/400 command WRKTAPCTG first. Make sure the cartridges are Available using this OS/400 command prior to using TSM commands on them.
