It's a stupid little game IBM plays. How childish of them. We all know there's a V5R4 in the works, the code exists for at least a year before it's GA'd. Your support rep never mentioned any date for it, so it's very anal of some control freak at IBM to get their shorts in a knot because he mentioned the existence of V5R4. If IBM published calendars they'd be denying there's a 2006 edition coming to replace the 2005 edition. ...Neil "Jeff Crosby" <jlcrosby@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent by: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx 2005/03/04 07:20 To "'Midrange Systems Technical Discussion'" <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> cc Subject RE: An ugly exit. *EXITRG that is. > PS: He said that it has been fixed in _V5R4_ and they are > now going to PTF it back to V5R3. > > Anyone got V5R4 installed? <g> Tee Hee. IBM reads this list. I got a VM at 5:38 last night from the guy I'm working with. He was handed a note of a printed email mentioning V5R4. He was letting me know he may have 'misspoke' as V5R4 doesn't exist. This is purely a test PTF and they don't know for sure if it will work. Yesterday he explicitly said 'fixed in V5R4' because that was seared into my memory. They also evidently didn't see the <g> in my original post. You make the call. <g> |----- See that? -- Jeff Crosby Dilgard Frozen Foods, Inc.
