Many Thanks Richard,
After installing the converter pack, I m able to view the document. To display
it in sync with OV/400, I have used formatting option available in the MS-Word.
Infact I have created a Macro, which does all this. Its very mechanical, and as
I have got some 36000 documents, its gonna take lot of time. I m planning to
discuss with my peers who have good knowledge of VB if they could automate
entire process.
Thanks again,

Regards
Riz

You're on the right track. The MS converter should work assuming the docs
are in revisable form.

conversion.

Try installing the converter from the Office 200 CD. If I recall
correctly, the converter was on the Office 2000 CD as an optional install.

subject: How to display RFTDCA /TFTAS400 documents on PC

Hi There,

I want to view the RFTDCA and RFTAS400 files using any editor on PC
preferably MS-Word.

I have copied these documents to my desktop using the operations
navigator.

While looking for information on Midrange, in one of the discussion
threads I found that I am required to download and install a RFTDCA
converter from Microsoft website (oconv.exe), I downloaded and installed
this file which is available for office 2003 now. Unfortunately It did not
work. I am not very sure if I could get the correct file. I am using
office 2000 on Windows 2000 professional OS.

Any help on this is solemnly appreciated.

Thanks and Regards

Riz
