STMF and Journaling

Having problems with the journal entries that result of changes to a journaled 
STMF in the IFS. The Entry specific data on the "after image" (type WA) is not 
readable at all, just a bunch of mumbo-jumbo. Any suggestions of why this is or 
if there is a way to get this data to be readable by the human eye?
