Re: 22% annual maintenance from Oracle on JDE?

Pardon me, but, I'm not an Oracle guru, but 22% has been their annual
maintenance rate since about (circa) 2000.  Da fax is what the fax is.  As
these products get mature, these are the kind of maintenance numbers they
need to charge.

Al - in Florida - I gave two talks to the Orlando Users Group last night,
and will do another tonight in Tampa. Maybe water-skiing in the
meantime!!!!!!!!  OK.  Maybe there are some perks in this job!

We all know they (Oracle) committed to not doing away with JDE. Although
third-party MA's are available, what is going to be the migration of
customers in a few months time?



JDE Shops Have Plenty of Options for Third-Party Maintenance

J.D. Edwards shops cringing at the thought of writing 22 percent
maintenance checks to Oracle can rest a little easier knowing there
are other options, and the ranks of companies offering third-party
maintenance programs for World and EnterpriseOne are growing quickly.
Two weeks ago, yet another Denver, Colorado, company threw its hat
into the third-party maintenance ring, joining three others that have
done the same since December.
