Interesting. Strictly hardware, then I would guess something like the SGI Altix would take the crown. Trouble is, how do you define hardware? What about 100s of blades?

Really interesting is the new Cell architecture. Any number of discreet cells can act together as one machine. From you PDA to a massive machine. Truly scalable hardware.
