Re: Zip code translation

Many many years ago, I wrote a package that translated four 30 byte fields
into zip, state (spelled out, abbreviated, mis-abbreviated).  It was not
elegant, but it worked.  It used compile time tables, but I got a 99+ hit
rate after a few passes.  It allowed for both 5 and 9 digit zip codes (with
or without the dash).

Barfed a bit over English and Canadian postal codes, but had a decent paper
audit trail.  (Both all and errors only)

Alas I wrote it for for RPG II, but I may have updated it to III.  I'd
check, but my @#$%ing HMC has all my partitions down at the moment.
