If you are wanting the value to still print and as a positive number,
then you CAN DO this is Query. After you have created your calc field
(C = A - B) and you have selected it to print on the report/screen, go
to the Specify report column formatting. Page down until you see your
new field (C), position your cursor on any field on this fields line and
press F16.
You can not show the negative a couple of ways:

FIRST: Make the Edit Option a 1 and Press Enter. You will see an option
to Show Negative Sign, make this an N and Press Enter.

SECOND: Make the Edit Option a 3 and Press Enter. In the Edit Code
field enter a 1 or 3 and Press Enter (You can press F1 in the Edit Code
field to see what the various values will do to the field for
displaying). This should give you a positive value for all of the
results.

Subject: Trick math for Query 400

I need a simple report to come out of Query but one column must not go
negative. In the define results screen this field is defined as a
simple
C = A - B but we do not want C to be negative. We would like to have a
zero
instead. A and B are both 7 digit numbers with no decimals.

Is there any trick math that would do this?

Thanks,
Greg
