Hardware requirements for Ethernet


The iSeries supports the Ethernet input/output adapter types, listed by
custom card identification number (CCIN) in the following table:

1.      Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) card; uses copper wire cabling. 

2.      Uses fiber optics.
