I don't know if this is what you want to do... But: The 5250 emulator from mochasoft.dk will recognize a URL on the green screen, highlight it, and make it a hot link. If you click on it, it will start Internet explorer and take you to the link. Works pretty well. The only problem I have found is it ALWAYS starts internet explorer, and I use Firefox as my browser. Other than that, it is a nice feature. cjg Carl J. When you say CA is going away, do you mean that your company is getting rid of it? Because IBM certainly is not - it's just been renamed. <vendor response> RJS Software Systems, where I now work, has a product called Office Integrator that has this function. A server component is started on the PC that responds to requests from an iSeries. It can also do mail merges in Word from live data on the iSeries. You can look at www.rjssoftware.com. </vendor response> If you will not have CA or equivalent, you can get or start an REXECD (remote exec daemon or server) on your PC. Some flavors of Windows NT and later have one you can install. There are also 3rd-party ones available - other than ours. ;-) You use the RUNRMTCMD command on the iSeries, instead of STRPCCMD.
