Is there any requirement that a restore actually make the files identical? 
Or, just that the files meet the specs.

I wonder what would happen if you reorganized the file, as you said the
desired order is key order, anyway.

Which leads to the obvious remark....  The program has a k on the F-spec,
right?  They haven;t just been lucky all this time?

Well that's what we did Saturday morning, restored the whole library from
the old system to the new one.
WHen they access the old system and try the application it retrieves the
records in the sequence they expect, on the new system it basically gets
the records in reverse chronological order (like I said, they really
should have that defined as part of the key).

Do they still have the old library on the old system?  If so, if you do a
RSTLIB to a new library name, does the logical work?
