Jeff, I realize this probably won't help, but I'll say it anyway.
Centerfield has couple of products utilizing exit points and in my three
years here I have never heard of them disappearing at our site or at any of
our customers' sites.

Is it possible that you have some automated process (program) that registers
these after upgrades, system restores and like?  If so, I'd look at the
source of this post-upgrade program for any faulty logic (i.e.
remove-the-old-before-registering-new-and-then-registering-new-does-not-happ
en kind of thing).
