Re: creating LODRUN-able CD's from Windows

Yeehaw!  Despite ultimately needing a *SECOFR class user profile to get
*IOSYSCFG authority, the V5R3 virtual optical solution worked like a
charm.  I SAVOBJ'd the QINSTAPP program directly to the virtual device,
then SAVLIB'd my product libraries directly to the virtual device.

I shared a windows directory from my laptop on the local network, and
accessed that share from a machine with the full install of OpsNav on it.
I then used OpsNav to make QOPT read/write, and mount /QOPT as a drive in
windows.  Copying windows files and directory structures (even with long
names!) was as simple as dragging and dropping them into the folder in
QOPT corresponding to my cd image volume.

I then transferred /MYCDIMAGECATALOG/MYCDIMIAGEFILE to my laptop in binary
mode, and changed its filename to MYCDIMAGEFILE.img to make it openable
inside GEAR PRO Professional Edition on XP.  In Gear, I used disk-at-once,
MODE-1, sector size 2048.  Gear wouldn't let me alter the volume name, but
after burning the large single track, the CD loaded with the volume name
I'd given to the AS/400 virtual optical drive volume.  Sanity!

LODRUN DEV(*OPT) worked perfectly, and my libraries were restored right
off the CD.  Navigating to /QOPT/MYVOLUME in qsh also worked as expected.
