Yeah, I know that, but it's Friday evening and I couldn't resist the joke 
and another chance to slag Windows.  :-)

PS - I believe the System/3 went up to V12 something.  So long ago I'm not 
sure.

Except that (unlike ASCII), in EBCDIC the value VAR1M0 collates before
V9R1M0 so this still breaks the previous point about character
comparisons on the version string.
