I am trying to apply ptf's (firmware updates) to the controlling partition (fsp, or whatever the new name is) on an i5. We are at version 45 and I notice there is a version 51. We have 2 options: Concurrent install with deferred disruptive activate, or, Disruptive install and activate. I figure the first one is like doing a GO PTF with a cume and telling NOT to IPL, but do the IPL later. Has anyone done the "Concurrent install with deferred disruptive active", and lived to tell about it? Thought I'd give it a try. Figure that will be slightly less scary when I have the others in here doing the downtime while I am otherwise occupied. I could do the install midweek and they could do the IPL over the weekend.
