Rob, the ATM has been a proven technology for how many years now? Plus, you get a receipt. Money can always be replaced; if the ATM screws up, there's almost always an audit trail to find the source of any discrepancies. Votes go missing? How would you know? Did *your* vote get counted correctly? With the ATM, I know whether my deposits and withdrawals are accurate. I've got the paper to back them up. I get my statement in the mail every month. What does a voter have to back up his electronic vote? Nothing. Zip.
