Glenn, are you querying an externally described file? If not sure, do a DSPFD on the file and scan for "Externally described file" to see if it's Yes or No. Second-level text: When you see a message at the bottom of the screen, place your cursor on the message and press F1; this should bring up another screen that shows more detail on the message.
