If you have to ask, then you're better off to convert this to 
write(e) arrec;

  Select;
  When %status(arrfile) = ....;  // Replace status code with valid status 
codes like file full or some such thing
    // this error
  When %status(arrfile) = x.x.x.x; 
    // that error
  Other;
    // catch all
  EndSl;
EndIf;
