RE: Tape backup strategy

A year is probably overkill, but three weeks is definitely too short, in my
opinion.  We keep twelve weeks here plus every tape save after the end of a
month.

We have been keeping a 3 week cycle of backups. Now we are debating to keep
a year. I think a year is a bit much, we are non regulartory.
