I have had to do such a list (cleanup), where file CUSMAS had format CUSMASR and recl=512 file XCUS had format CUSMASR and recl = 512 file ZCUS had format CUSMASR and recl = 400 (was missed in prev update) file CUSMASX had format $CUST and recl 512 (and was a duplicate of cusmasr) It took DSPFD to outfile (type = *rcdfmt) and then multiple queries. Sort once by record length, once by record format. For multiple libs, either run dspfd for 1st lib to create outfile, then each next lib is *add to outfile. or put all libs in your libl and run dspfd for *libl. jim ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chuck Lewis" <clewis@xxxxxxxxxx> To: "'Midrange Systems Technical Discussion'" <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, September 22, 2004 9:16 AM Subject: RE: Summary view of arbitrary number ofidentically-named-and-formatted physical files in separate libraries > James, > > Maybe I am missing what you want here, but how about: > > WRKOBJ OBJ(*ALL/"your file name") OBJTYPE(*FILE) ? > > Or were you wanting more detail than that ?
