Steven: Somewhere back around V4R3, IBM created a PTF for this that allowed the Retrieve Message (QMHRTVM) API to handle an additional format -- RTVM0400 -- that contained this info. I see that the format is included in V5R2 documentation, so they made it part of the base. I no longer have the PTF identifier, but it ought to be searchable for a few releases back.
