We had one application with a panel group. At one time I used to be much more anal about new technology. I was even the boss you'd all hate. Stomping new technology if you didn't cross train someone else and all sorts of stuff. Anyway, I digress. This fellow created one panel group application. On occasion it blew up. He could never figure out the error and just restarted the application. when it blew up when he was on vacation I was in a bit of a crunch (at that wasn't the way to learn panel groups) so I just restarted it too. However he did present once or twice at COMMON on DDS. He left the AS/400 market after leaving this company. The point is that, if it's only an application that will be called on occasion and then a sign off you may not run into this. Otherwise some volume testing might be in order. But other people evidently have panel groups banging it out so his was probably a fluke.
