That's very funny!! But to use that analogy... However, prisoners that choose community service, stay in jail and don't grow, while prisoners that learn and use C are often sought out to do programming while in prison, have a VERY marketable skill once out of prison, learn how to use a programming language that is VERY powerful, can access any place in memory, do any sort of programming you like, is free form, more flexible and is a modern language used on a multitude of platforms.
