But I would have to do that at IPL cause production files are owned by these
profiles. Really need to clean up this mess. People used to create and own
their own crap. Now these files are open and being updated by server
programs 24x7. ARGHH! Might need to script these users and just do it.
Tell me, how can I retrieve their distribution list membership?

I went through most of the profile handle commands. Some have been around
since V2R1. Some are newer, like V5R1. It will tell you that in the API
section of the Infocenter. If their software is like a lot of vendor
software (no new enhancements since Win95 came out) then their probably
using one of these older api's.

As per my previous message regarding V2R2, you may have little recourse
other than to recreate your user profile. Might be as simple as
WRKOBJLCK OLD *USRPRF, quiesce the jobs
WRKUSRPRF OLD
3-Copy to NEW
DLTUSRPRF USRPRF(OLD) OWNOBJOPT(*CHGOWN NEW)
WRKUSRPRF NEW
3 - Copy to OLD
DLTUSRPRF USRPRF(NEW) OWNOBJOPT(*CHGOWN OLD)
