Looking through some of the D specs in the program I noticed the 
following:

There's also a section of code that looks like:

     C                   Eval      X = X + 4

     C                             Or %Subst(Message:X:4) = '<nl>')
     C                   Eval      %Subst(WrkMsg:Y:2) = CRLF

Therefore, if your user types in 
SNDEMAIL MESSAGE('Line one<nl>Line two<nl>')
and the rest of the parameters, it should format well.
