Expat actually works almost "out of the box" on the iSeries, the only part that doesn't work is the configure script. I've converted the source files from stream files to source members, created my own configuration member, and created a CL program that compiles it... I've also written RPG prototypes for some of the functions (the ones that I use in HTTPAPI, or the ones that I've experimented with) However, I have not written any documentation on how to use Expat on the iSeries. You'll have to learn from the standard expat documentation. (Should be no problem if you're a C programmer, but maybe a little tricky if you're not...) You can download my ported copy as a save file (pre-compiled, but including the source) from: http://www.scottklement.com/expat/expat-1.95.7.savf It's also included and built from source upon request when you install the current beta version of HTTPAPI. (HTTPAPI uses it for XML parsing when working with web services) http://www.scottklement.com/httpapi/ The main Expat project page (including some docs on how to use it) is: http://www.libexpat.org > I'm going to start working on an OSS project for file transfers using MQ > Series and expat is the way I want to go. Good luck.
