One of the tools we use is a Project Request database.  This Notes/Domino 
based database has a workflow engine.  Like, user requests a project, 
controller may request an estimate, estimate is submitted, controller 
approves/rejects estimate, work is in production, work is completed; that 
sort of rot.  We basically took a normal workflow database from the EtQ 
package we bought and modified it slightly.  But the package itself has 
most of the customizable features already built in, like the ability to 
have up to 10 phases in a project, escalations if a project phase has not 
been worked on in the allotted time, and lots more.  Standard databases in 
the package include:  Document Control, Corrective actions, Calibrations, 
ECR's, Preventive Maintenance, Customer Complaints, Training, 
Nonconforming Material, APQP, Material Returns, and that's a small 
percentage of all the databases included.

IT Task Tracking software






Hi all.

This is a question directed (mainly) at the corporate IT managers: what, 
if
any, software do you use to track the IT Tasks and Projects across the
corporate landscape?

The background to this questions is that we are merging our IT departments
across the corporation and we have development staff on the East coast, 
West
coast and in Europe - and we have multiple iSeries platforms in various
locations. 

I am looking for something that will run on a central / corporate server
which will allow the IT staff to be easily able to access and update the
tasks or project allocated to them.
