I thought about that after I saw his last message...

I don't believe he was using the 5394 controller name.

Try WRKCTLD *RWS to see your remote workstation controllers
and then use prtdevadr against those name(s).

PRTDEVADR WILL work on a 5494.
I believe you can configure a 5494 to use lu6.2 and lu2.1 support (I think,
it has been a while). I always use(d) lu6.2. What you are looking at is
the APPC controller, not the 5494. The APPC controller attached to the
switched (LAN) line, and has an APPC device associated with it. This is
used to establish the APPC connection between the host and the 5494. You
should probably have a controller that is defined as *RMT. This is the name
of the controller that you want to do a PRTDEVADR on.

I get a CPF263B - Controller TR5494CP not a work station controller.

In the controller description is the following:
Controller description . . . . . . : TR5494CP Option . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : *BASIC Category of controller . . . . . . : *APPC Link type . . . . . . . . . . . . : *LAN Online at IPL . . . . . . . . . . : *YES Switched connection . . . . . . . : *YES Active switched line . . . . . . . : TOKEN02

will give all devices and address...

Prtdevadr MB5394 (my 5394 controller)
