*JOBCTL special authority plus *USE authority to the PWRDWNSYS command is sufficient to initiate a PWRDWNSYS. The command is not restricted to use only at the system console - though I know many a programmer who thought it was and sadly learned otherwise :) jte P.S. (How many users on your system have this ability? In more modern installations the PWRDWNSYS is secured from the factory... but way too many legacy users have *JOBCTL) -- John Earl | Chief Technology Officer The PowerTech Group 19426 68th Ave. S Seattle, WA 98032 (253) 872-7788 ext. 302 john.earl@xxxxxxxxxxxxx www.powertech.com This email message and any attachments are intended only for the use of the intended recipients and may contain information that is privileged and confidential.
