Hi Philipp,

As far as I know, the IPDS support of the 6400 line of
impact printers only supports internal Ethernet or
coax/twinax adapter cards, which plug directly into
the printer itself.

I don't think you can pass unconverted IPDS data
through an external print server attached to the
parallel port and have the printer be able to operate
in its IPDS mode.

On the AS/400 side, you will need PSF/400 installed
because the OS/400 IPDS printer driver for TCP/IP
attached IPDS printers is part of the PSF/400 package.
