Multiple volumes are handeled like this: If you create on CD (pick the size) and when you "fill it up" you are presented with a message: <message> Message ID . . . . . . : OPT149F Severity . . . . . . . : 99 Message type . . . . . : Inquiry Date sent . . . . . . : 07/02/04 Time sent . . . . . . : 14:29:57 Message . . . . : Load next volume on optical device OPTVRT01. (C A G) Cause . . . . . : A save operation to virtual device OPTVRT01 cannot continue because either the volume list is exhausted or there was no volume found to continue the operation. The last volume in the save was 5722XH2 with sequence number 1. Recovery . . . : Type C to cancel processing or load the next volume on device OPTVRT01 and continue. The volume can be loaded in one of two ways. 1) The system can create a new virtual volume and load it into the same image catalog as the previous volume. The volume will be initialized with a system generated name and processing will continue on this volume. Type A to select this option. 2) From another session add the desired volume to the image catalog using Add Image Catalog Entry (ADDIMGCLGE). Once the volume is mounted, return to this inquiry message and type G to continue processing. Possible choices for replying to message . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : C -- Cancel processing. A -- The system will create, load, mount, and initialize a new virtual volume and then continue processing. G -- Continue processing after manually loading and mounting the virtual volume. </message> Give it an "A" and it keeps going I looks like it duplicates the size of the virtual volume you started with. ---------------------------- Bryan Dietz Aktion Associates midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx wrote on 07/09/2004 01:26:13 PM: -> Bryan, -> -> I was reading about that yesterday and one question came to mind; what about -> multiple volumes ?
