Have we forgot the '80s so soon? IBM and Compaq? Reverse-engineering DOS and the lawsuits attendant thereto? (Oooh! legalese!) IBM was the villain in those days, M$ was a bit player. Times change. In a few years someone else will be the bad guy. Maybe Linus Torvalds?

As a business partner with IBM, we know that it IS big, that it will do what it finds profitable. Has it abused the little guy? Probably. Will they get away with it? Probably, for a while. It's one of the risks - you avail yourself of the opportunities while you can, then move on. When you are a flea on the big dog, you kind of need to go along with what the dog does. Once in a while you will make it itch, and then make sure you are out of the way when it starts scratching. ;-)
