Hi John There are several options: NFS - Network File System. The iSeries can be either client or server, as can the Linux box. Works very well. NetServer - Using Samba the Linux box can mount an iSeries share locally. FTP - Pretty much any Linux distribution will already include an ftp server, so you won't need to shell out for more software. I use all of the above with our i825 at V5R2, though mounting NetServer shares via Samba was not very successful at V5R1 and earlier. Check the archives for more details.
