I suppose the answer to that is yes. But the bigger issue is that with
Notify = 'Y', the system will sit there and wait for an answer. Not
particularly a good idea if nobody is there to answer it and you are
depending on the system to come back up automatically.
Here's the help text:
Note: Communication messages with a severity of 99
that require a reply can interrupt backup or restore
operations. To avoid this interruption, or for
unattended backup or restore operations, specify
*NOTIFY on the message queue delivery parameter.
So if you're running unattended, you'll need to make sure there weren't any
problems and the backup was good.
