I'm not sure if this is what you mean but if I am trying to determine if a
subsystem is active in a C/L program I try to allocate the subsystem
description exclusively with ALCOBJ. If it is active you will not be able to
allocate it.

Subject: Checking status of a remote subsystem

OK, searched the archives, but could not find anything specifically
related to this. I am attempting to retrieve the status of a remote
subsystem (active or not). We have several approaches, some using
Java,
but I would like to hear all ideas...

        Regards,
        Uros Davidovic
