Good Morning to you! I am sorry that I am slow getting back to you but the
old e-mail has been piling up lately with all the massages that I get from the
lists.

I would like to suggest to you a G/L package that is sold and supported by a
company in Marietta, GA. ALSI has a suite of financial packages that have
been operating since the days of the s/34 but which are all very much native
AS/400.

These applications, which can be bought either as a suite or individually,
are very clean and well designed applications. They are all very simple to
configure.

There customer base (some 1000 companies) run from small to large and cover
about every vertical market you can think of so I am sure that it will handle
any problems that you can throw at.

What I like best about the G/L package is that it has a built in report
generator that lets the customer design the reports that they would like to be
produced. This obviously reduces the life-to-death costs of the application
because you don't have to modify the "base code" to produce a new report. The
design has also incorporated many audit functions in anticipation of the
Sarbene-Oxley requirements.

Although I am proud to say that in a small way I help to design this package,
I am currently not involved with them so I suggest you contact a Mr. Karl
Touset at 770-578-6771 directly and ask him for any information that you need.
He
is out of town until Tuesday AM. I have left him a voice mail telling him
that I have been in touch with you.

In closing let me make one more comment, the Lawsons, JED, People Soft,
Infinium packages are functional but big and expensive. ALSI G/L package can to
the
job and I believe you will be very pleased at the price and that is truly
where the rubber meets the road.

Sincerely Yours,
Jack Derham
