Not the answer you wanted, but I believe that to be true. And the first person who hears of an i5 not running OS/400 will you please post it to this list? I'd like to know the business case on that. Especially if they weren't already an iSeries shop. Although I have been a participant in several IBM Focus Groups related to the i5 (although I didn't know the name of the new system at the time - they were calling it Squadrons). I thought I heard in these sessions that IBM would allow you to run Linux on an i5 without any need for i5/OS, i.e., that Linux would run natively on the i5. However, I haven't found this statement on IBM's web sites or in the i5 announcements. Does anyone have a definitive answer?
