Yuk, Jim

I've never worked with Lawson, so indulge my ignorance, please.

The answer might be in NetServer. When you create a share, you can specify file extensions that will autoconvert to ASCII. In the NetServer management window (from OpsNav under File Systems, right-click on File Shares), right-click on a share and click on Properties. Take the Text conversion tab and make your changes there.

So you'd need a share to '/LAW7' and you're good to go.

I know I can map a drive to (LAW7 / LAWSON / PRINT / USERID# / JOBNAME /
1)

and inside of there is all the instances of the job the user has run.

The user in question must have nearly 500 reports to be archived

and each one is in a different folder with an extension of .prt

Even if I were to copy them over via OPS Navigator then I would have to
translate from EBCIDIC to ASCII.
