The last time I was in canada was at the border crossing bridge in buffalo/fort erie in a car. I only needed to show my drivers license, open the trunk of my car, and tell them what I was doing in Canada (going to the ballet, of course ;) But that was 10 years ago, and wasn't on a plane. Airport customs have probably always been more strict than border crossings, and doubly so after 9/11 I just picked up a copy of my birth certificate from the local board of health. ----original message------------ OK, just called the Canadian embassy downtown. You DO need proof of citizenship. Specifically Driver's Licenses are not proof. You WILL need a birth certificate or a Passport! Voter Reg cards will not do it! If you bring a birth cert, you will need a valid (presume government issued) PHOTO ID....so bring the drivers license and birth cert if you don't have a passport.... iSeries Nation "Passports" are not going to get you into Canada...they only work in Jersey....:) (I usually figured that my being here was sufficient certification that I was born...:) Don in DC
