There seems to be a problem with the cache data in your RAID-Controller. I looked up the SRC's in my 170's "Problem Analysis, Repair and Parts" handbook. As far as I can see, there should be nothing wrong with your harddisks, so don't worry yet. Can you describe your system a bit more in detail, what kind of controller, how many disks, do you mirror or do RAID5 ?
The first thing you should do now is to do a manual IPL from the panel (01 A M). When the system comes up to DST, we can go on.
Hi all,
Some weeks ago, I received an older system 170 ( 9406 - V4R3 ) from work. I connected the machine on my hub and IPLd. No problem so far, however the ethernet was not responding. This problem could usually be resolved by vary off/on the line via the console. Not having the cable to connect the twinax-controller to the console, I decided to unplug the powercord ..... ( yes I know )
I now found back the cable at work, connected it to the console and IPLd. ( from A or B in manual mode ) Following System Reference Codes are displayed :
11-3 675A9010 12-3 00B20117 13-3 00000110 14-3 FFFFFFFF 15-3 675A0004 16-3 00000000 17-3 00000000 18-3 00000000 19-3 07278100
No sign yet on the console.
I think that I screwed up my disk(s)
Does anyone know the exact meanings of these SRCs and can this be resolved ?
Many thanks in advance,
Chris
