RE: Dealing with the IBM bureaucracy

I tried to buy 100 used drives from IBM direct last week.  You would think
that would be a simple transaction.  I needed them quickly.  I gave the guy
6 days and he could not get them shipped.  He kept saying how much red tape
he had to go thru. 
Amazing that I was begging them to take my business.

Thanks for your reply.  The issue here is not whether Microsoft would do 
the same thing (or worse) but that this particular division of IBM is 
treating us as if we were criminals intent on ripping them off, not 
customers in good standing of over 20 years.  Kudos to your boss for 
making plans to move to Linux.  I suppose that would come with its own 
problems to.  You might have SCO knocking at your door demanding licensing 
fees...
