We have just finished reviewing several packages and went with Vanguard IMS. We are in the processing of configuring our applications to use the new system. We expect to have one major application up by the end of this week. That would be one week to install and train. 2 weeks to implement the first application. I find it fairly easy to use and flexible. I can let you know more in the future. I would recommend it. Chris Bipes -----Original Message----- Our AP department is unhappy with the company we've contracted to scan invoices and serve them on the web, and we're looking at document management systems to bring it in house. We process several thousand invoices a week, many of them are more than 1 page long, some are as many as 20 or 30 pages long. I'm interested in opinions, good and bad, from others who've done this, specifically: Which packages you've used, how easy they are to administer and use, any problems you've encountered. One of the packages that the accountants are hot about is Hyland's On Base. Has anyone used them? I'm also interested in the process - what scanners do you use, how much time does scanning an invoice add to the voucher entry process. Does your imaging software work with Client access?, Some packages claim they can scrape data off the green screen (based on screen position) at voucher entry when the document is being scanned so that the image is named and cataloged without having to re-key data. If your system provides similar functionality, how well does that work?
