I did an article on this in Club Tech iSeries Programming Tips newsletter. It demonstrates how to use APIs to save a spooled file to a user space, how to use APIs to get all of the spooled files in an output queue so that you can save them all to user spaces, etc. Then, of course, you can save the user spaces to tape using the standard IBM SAVLIB or SAVOBJ commands. Here are links to the articles. They require an associate membership (free) to the iSeries Network to view: http://www.iseriesnetwork.com/resources/clubtech/index.cfm?fuseaction=ShowNewsletterIssue&ID=17970 http://www.iseriesnetwork.com/resources/clubtech/index.cfm?fuseaction=ShowNewsletterIssue&ID=18066 On Mon, 24 May 2004, Mike Berman wrote: > > I would like to save Outq's prior to clearing them.
