I know this has been brought up numerous times (I have been doing a lot of
reading through the archives)

But I can't seem to find the answer to this.

I have an iSeries (V4R5) in domain "AS/400" and a File Server (WIN2000) in
Domain "arc.com"

I have two user Id's (TESTUSR) one on the iSeries and one on the File Server
and both have the same password in uppercase

I created a share the File Server and granted TESTUSR permissions to it

I ran WRKLNK QNTC and could not see SERVER1, so I executed MKDIR SERVER1 on
the iSeries,

Now I can execute WRKLNK /QNTC and I see SERVER1 but it does not show any of
the files or shares in it

In looking at the windows event log it shows the attempt from the iSeries as
user TESTUSR which is the correct user.

Our network administrator says that for a network login it should be showing
as arc.com/TESTUSR (ie the domain name plus the user id). Is that correct?

He also said that a foreign domain could see the server (SERVER1) but would
not be able to see folders or browse

(this is what happened when we did the wrklnk '/QNTC/SERVER1' and did a 5
for display).

We created a local user TESTUSR on SERVER1 and then we could send the file
to the folder on the root but not the network shares on the sub folders.

Perhaps I still don't have the iSeries on the windows domain? That is what
our network admin believes?

What should CFGTCP option 12 show for my configuration?

Is there something I am missing?

Thanks for any help you can give me.
