Jim, We're getting ready to do this exact same thing, but all we're doing is creating csv files and dumping them on an NT share for the oracle app to pick up. If you come up with a better solution, please share. Rick ---------original message------------- We've been talking about buying Oracle's DB/2 AS/400 Gateway product. In considering our application needs we've come to realize that it isn't going to do what we want because it's going the wrong way. We need to replicate data where the AS/400 is the source system. The gateway allows you to create an Oracle view to an AS/400 table. We're dealing with large AS/400 tables, updated frequently. On the Oracle side we'd have to pull all the data through the view instead of accepting periodic updates/changes. Is anyone working with replication from an AS/400 to an Oracle database? I know IBM has an incredibly expensive solution, and I can think of a few complicated ways to roll my own. -Jim James P. Damato Manager - Technical Administration Dollar General Corporation
