Sure, using some simple API calls (the CEE date routines). There was a recent thread on this subject here. I posted one idea, others had more. Check the archives for "Date math in CL". Also, Scott Klement had an excellent, extensive article around the same time in the Club Tech iSeries Programming Tips newsletter he edits. Must be a "timely" (or "dately") subject. You could go to www.iseriesnetwork.com and look for it there under Programming Tips.

HI I would like to calculate in CL, to take the current date, and to add 45 days to this, and pass this UDate+45 to an RPG program in the next CL statement. (there are additional static parameters as well.) IF I can't do that I would like to call an RPG program that is making this calculation and receive the params back in the calling CL program. I am very new to ILE. I wrote a brief RPG ILE program to get this new date using ADDDUR. What would I need to do to make it an procedure that the CL can call? Unless of course, the CL can do the work by itself.
Thank you,
Mike
